What to expect from Physical Therapy:
Physical therapy is a unique science and art that utilizes a wide variety of procedures to restore function to the body, reduce pain and help prevent future injury. Our talented clinical team devise individualized treatment plans to achieve the specific goals of each patient. At the first visit, a patient undergoes an initial evaluation and an individualized treatment program is designed, in conjunction with the physician's prescription, to meet the patient's specific rehabilitative needs. Under the supervision of a Cambria Physical Therapy therapist, patient goals are established and treatment begins. Various physical therapy modalities may be utilized during treatment, including 3D traction, electrical stimulation, Laser therapy, Hybresis patch, SwimEx Therapy Pool, ultrasound, ice and heat, as well as therapeutic exercise and manual therapy.

Cambria Physical therapy uses a standardized, functional and outcomes-oriented approach to care that focuses specifically on the low back. Through an active and educational continuum of treatment, our therapists assist the patient in returning to normal, daily activities as soon as possible. By providing comprehensive education in anatomy, pathology and care of the low back, the patient is empowered to participate in his or her recovery and in the prevention of future injury while returning to active living.
Aquatic therapy-SwimEx Therapy Pool is the only aquatic therapy for 30 miles!
The properties of water will positively impact movement, strength and function. Water is a safe and effective medium to exercise specific muscle groups and joints with substantially less compressive forces than other types of exercise. Aquatic therapy techniques are designed to move against the buoyancy of water, facilitating exercise by making movement easier and less painful. Cambria Physical Therapy utilizes techniques that build on water's natural resistance and current to improve quality and strength of movement and enhance balance. The therapeutic, non-weight-bearing properties of water create an ideal rehabilitation environment, especially for post-operative patients, neurologic patients, sports injuries or those with back injuries.

The vestibular rehabilitation program is designed to help people suffering from dizziness, vertigo, imbalance and other inner ear disorders. Vestibular rehabilitation is a conservative, non-invasive and drug-free option for combating dizziness and balance difficulties. A clinician will develop an individualized treatment plan that includes exercises to strengthen posture, gait and components of the balance system (eyes, ears and legs). A home exercise program may be designed specifically to the patient's tolerance, physical condition and diagnosis.
